Information on the 13th session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP)

Docip has the pleasure to present you the latest information on the 13th session of the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the meeting will take place from November 30 to December 4, 2020 in four virtual regional meetings, followed by a wrap up meeting for the EMRIP members and Secretariat.

The topic of the regional meetings will be, "The impact of COVID-19 on the rights of indigenous peoples under the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples". You can read the concept note here: https://bit.ly/3du3Blv

The regional meetings will be held for only two hours at a time and two regions at a time, as follows:

A. November 30, 3:00 - 5:00 PM Geneva time (UTC+1) - Africa and North America - Interpretation in English and French. Agenda in English | French.
B. December 1, 9:00 - 11:00 AM Geneva time (UTC+1) - Pacific and Asia - Interpretation in English and French. Agenda.
C. December 2, 3:00 - 5:00 PM Geneva time (UTC+1) - The Arctic; Central and Eastern Europe, Russian Federation, Central Asia and Transcaucasia - Interpretation in English, French and Russian. Agenda.
D. December 3, 3:00 - 5:00 PM Geneva time (UTC+1) - Central and South America and the Caribbean - Interpretation in English, French and Spanish. Agenda.
