Summary Note 15 (December 2023)
This Summary presents the discussions held, in person and online, during the 16th session of the EMRIP, July 17 to 21, 2023.
To be a Docip volunteer involves putting one’s skills at the service of indigenous delegates during their participation in the UN arena.
Docip is organising the following trainings during the 14th session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in partnership with the UN Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Peoples. These sessions are open to all delegates.
Effective and meaningful participation in the UNPFII
6:15-7:30 p.m.: in English, Spanish, French and Russian by: Jocelyn Hung Chien, LIMA Taiwan Indigenous Youth Working Group and Cathy Eatock, Aboriginal Rights Coalition (Australia).

Workshop – How to send information to the Special Procedures dealing with human rights violations
3:00-5:30 p.m.: in English, Spanish, French and Russian.

It also includes background documents on the above mentioned processes and offers searching facilities to look for trainings by title, author, them, language or date.
Docip has updated its fact sheet on the UNPFII. In a few pages, it explains what is the purpose of the conference, how to participate, write an intervention, organise a parallel event, the importance of participating to Caucuses and how to organise meetings with key actors.
