For our interpreters, translators and volunteers

2019-05-10

Dear interpreters, translators and volunteers helping us during the 18th session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues,

Another session has come to an end and we would like to express our most sincere gratitude for your diligent work. Thanks to your help we provided simultaneous interpretation services during 66 meetings and translated more than 76 documents, for a total of 56.294 words. Time and again, we appreciate your dedication and commitment.

Some meetings lasted longer than expected, certain translations had very tight deadlines, yet thanks to amazing teamwork and your availability we always found a way to deliver excellent services. We received so many words of recognition from the indigenous delegates you were working for, and we are honored to transmit their appreciation to you. We could not be more grateful for your professionalism, flexibility, and most of all, your devotion to your work. It is through you and thanks to you that many Indigenous delegates were able to follow the meetings, be heard and understood. We appreciate you making it possible, and we look forward to many more years of fruitful collaboration!

With warm regards,

DOCIP Team
