Docip Update nº113 - Informing About the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

Docip has the pleasure to share with you our last publication of this year, the nº113 of our Update.
This new edition of the Update presents in the Focus section the different discussions held on the topic of the criminalization of indigenous peoples’ rights defenders, along with some useful links and tools that can be used in such cases. Ongoing Processes give an overview of the other important issues currently making a difference in the international arena, such as indigenous women’s rights, indigenous migration and finally the very important role of the WIPO IGC discussions on elaborating a legally binding instrument on indigenous traditional knowledge.
Latest News recall the main happenings during the last United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues as well as those of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. It also entails the Regional News , which introduce some information from the Pacific, the Arctic and North America regions.
Last but not least, this Update reminds the main conferences for 2019 with the deadlines and dates and country revisions for the treaty bodies. Docip team closes this edition by presenting our services.
