SEASON'S GREETING
Dear Friend,
Here we are at the end of December, and our office is closing its doors for the festive season.
In 2023, the world gradually returned to a certain normality. For Indigenous Peoples, this has meant continuing efforts to have their rights recognized, to be respected and accepted as partners and even leaders in the common struggle for the well-being of humanity, in continuation of the mission undertaken by Deskaheh Levi General in 1923. Last summer, we commemorated the centenary of this Haudenosaunee leader's visit to Geneva.
For us, 2023 was above all a year of change in our team. While we regret the departure of our dear colleagues, it is with great pride that we see them leave with a wealth of experience and knowledge gained during their time at Docip. We wish them all the best for the future. At the same time, we are delighted to have found excellent replacements, and to have been able to put together a competent and dynamic new team. We present them to you below. You can find our contact details on our website via the following link: https://bit.ly/docipteam-fr. We look forward to hearing from you!
To return to the beginning of this message, our offices will be closed from December 23, 2023 to January 2, 2024 inclusive. For urgent inquiries in the meantime, please contact docip(at)docip.org. The next newsletter is scheduled to land in your inbox on January 19, 2024.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who work alongside us to support you: volunteers, interpreters, translators. Without these people and their personal commitment, Docip could not operate. Our heartfelt thanks!
Finally, we would like to thank you warmly for your trust and collaboration with Docip, and we look forward to continuing our journey with you in 2024.
We wish you a happy festive season and a great start into 2024!
The Docip Team
